Graffiti represents an art form that is unrestricted, one that rebels against conventional forms of artwork. Graffiti is intertwined into human history, dating back to the Roman Empires where they were plastered onto walls to make political statements and satirize current events.

Modern graffiti achieves many of the same things – to state a message that doesn’t necessarily fit into the norms of society, but also can be just creative artwork .

Bird building a nest in your flowerpot

As long as the bird has not yet started laying eggs, you can move or destroy the nest. If there is even one egg present, you need to leave it alone. In the US, all native migratory birds are protected under federal law (Migratory Bird Treaty Act). It is illegal to disturb an active nest. Penalties for violating this law include fines of up to $500 and/or up to 6 months in jail for each offense.

If eggs are present, try to water the plant at times when the mother bird is absent, when she goes to get food for herself.

If eggs are present, about two weeks after they hatch, you will have fledglings on the ground.

Baby birds fledge (leave the nest) several days before they start to fly. They hop around on the ground, and they climb on low branches until their wings are strong enough for them to fly. The parent birds continue to feed and care for the fledglings until they are self-sufficient. If you see a baby bird on the ground, and the bird has most of his feathers, leave him alone. Do not think that he needs to be “rescued.”

A super-master of miniatures Nikolay Aldunin is going to have a museum of his works in Moscow. He was born in Tula, but after becoming popular all over the country and abroad for his fabulous
works, he moved to the capital and continued creating his tiny things there. He managed to shoe a flea, carved portraits of Russian authors on rice grains and constructed a microscopic miniature ofthe Eiffel Tower , and lots of other awesome things, which seem to be just impossible to make without special hi-tech equipment. But he can do that

The airline allows cats and dogs to travel in carriers in the main cabin of the plane, rather than the cargo hold. While some airlines allow small animals to fly in the cabin as long as their carriers fit under the seats, Pet Airways has no limit on size.

The carrier will not transport human passengers other than crew and attendants to care for the animals during flights. Pet owners will have to fly separately.

One-way fares start at $149. Many of the flights on the airline’s limited initial itinerary are already booked full with a waiting list depending on the animal’s size.

To prevent pets from getting sick, there won’t be any beverage or snack service.

Chihuahua pup survived after a massive barbecue fork became lodged in his brain during a garden party

Chihuahua pup Smokey survived after a barbecue fork flew through the air at a garden party and became impaled in his head.

Yelping in agony it then ran off into nearby woods and hid for two days before worried owner Hughie Wagers found him in the undergrowth and took him to the vets.

Nurse Michelle Duncum, who was was on duty at the Cumberland Valley Animal Hospital, in London, Kentucky, when Smokey’s distraught owner arrived, said they were shocked by what they saw.

She said: ‘At first we thought it must just be a little fork you use to eat or something and didn’t have any idea what we were in for.

‘Then Hughie told us to wait there and he went and got Smokey, when he brought him in we couldn’t believe our eyes.’

Vet Keaton Smith, 40, immediately rushed the pup into the operating theatre and set to work.

He said: ‘When we got the x-ray up it was clear that this fork was not in the skull cavity, or behind the eye, it was in the brain.

‘Smokey had been out in the woods for two days with this in his head and we really didn’t know what would happen when we pulled it out, it was 50/50 if he would make it.

‘The operation didn’t really take any time at all, I just shaved his head and then pulled it out, it was all over in 30 seconds.’

Smokey has since made a virtual full recovery although Dr Keaton said he still has some slowness in movement in his right eye.

He said: ‘His nerve endings around the eye still seem to be a little slow but I think that will heal over time, he really is a little miracle.’
